Slobberknocker: Flair

Anything I write about this video would do it injustice. Nobody, nobody could ever duplicate the Nature Boy. OK, maybe if you just start yelling the first thing that comes into your head. I’m gonna try it sometime. I’ll have chicks screaming my name in no time. Wooooooooooooo!

It’s such a surprise that things didn’t work out for WCW, especially when they came up with brilliant ideas like the Ultimate Warrior appearing in Hulk Hogan’s dressing room mirror. Hogan and the Warrior were feuding (what year is this, 1991?) and the Warrior got in Hogan’s mind, to say the least. Was it real? Was it all a figment of Hogan’s imagination? How come Bobby the Brain saw the Warrior but Bischoff couldn’t? Oh, WCW, I miss you.

I have no idea what’s going on here. I would say RoboCop’s stint in WCW was the most bizarre ever, but I don’t want to disrespect David Arquette and Jay Leno. RoboCop might not even be the best part of this video. First, you have Sid in a tuxedo for some reason, which is great. Kudos to Sid for making the Wrestling Video of the Week for two weeks in a row. But how about a young JR with some solid play-by-play throughout the whole escapade? I felt Sting’s pain as he was trapped in the cage but when his friend RoboCop rescued him, my soul smiled. That’s all good old JR.

Sting and the British Bulldog needed a partner for their upcoming 6-man tag team match. The wanted somebody who would shock the world and, oh boy, he did. Forget the fact that Shockmaster looks like a gay stormtrooper for a sec. That may be the most inauspicious entrance since the Mets lost 120 games in their first season. The guy can’t even break through the wall without falling. How’s he going to beat Sid? The best part may be when the stormtrooper helmet falls off and he puts it right back on like nothing happened. Also, great job by Flair talking shit in the background.

Snooki guest-hosted Raw last night and did a decent job. She also worked her way into a match at Wrestlemania XXVII. It’s still not greatest guest spot of all-time.

I got complaints from our Southern readers that we haven’t had any WCW wrestling videos. Well, we’re going to fix that in a big way. Reader Peter S. from Charlotte suggested this doozy. He writes, “Everyone knows that Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and Sting used to love hanging out at gay leather bars, but in the days leading up to Halloween Havoc ’92, their sick games got even more intense.” Couldn’t have said it better myself. Take it away, JR.
