It’s the Rematch of the Century. Giants vs. Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. Before we whoop on those pathetic Bostonians once again, let’s look back and remember the first affair. Who could forget the Helmet Catch and Plaxico cradling the Title-winning pass in the end zone? Ahhhhhhhhh, memories. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and Michael Strahan won’t sit on you. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

Which player scored the first touchdown in Super Bowl XLII? (and a hint: it was not Jeff Feagles)

Now that Heidi Klum has said auf Wiedersehen to Seal, maybe she’ll come to party in The Suite. She has the looks, but I don’t know about the kids. At least she has money. Heidi made $20 million last year, according to Forbes. I’d babysit a couple of poop machines for that. Heidi wasn’t the highest-grossing model in 2011, though. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and Seal will serenade you. He probably needs something to do. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

Who was the highest-earning model of 2011? (and a hint: it was not Janice Dickinson)

Trivia Time: NFL Playoffs

It’s fucking freezing outside, which means we’re in the heart of the NFL Playoffs. The NFL Champion used to be determined by the team with the best record in the regular season. In 1932, the Chicago Bears and Portsmouth Spartans (now the Detroit Lions) finished the season tied and played a single game for the Title. Due to bad weather, the game was played indoors at Chicago Stadium on an 80-yard dirt field. No, I’m not making this up. The Bears won 9-0 and the game was so popular that a Championship Game was played in 1933 and every year since. The playoffs have evolved a lot since then but one thing never changes: Champions save their best for the playoffs. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and you get the game ball. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

Who is the all-time NFL Playoff touchdown leader? (and a hint: it is not Ickey Woods)

It’s been almost a year since we kicked things off here in The Suite and it’s been a huge success, at least bigger than LeBron in Miami. It’s been a thrill hating on jabronis and entertaining the millions (aaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnddddddd millions). That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and Phanatic will let you drink champagne off her rack. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

What was the most-viewed Rainman Suite post in 2011?

Trivia Time: Christmas

Posted: December 24, 2011 by Keith Stone in Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, trivia

It’s almost time for Christmas and I couldn’t be more excited for presents, family, and the return of basketball. I did a little research and Christmas is not only Santa Claus’s birthday but somebody called Jesus Christ. A few centuries after Jesus was born, his followers decided to start celebrating his birthday. There was only one problem. Nobody knew when it was. Some thought the spring. Some the summer. Eventually, December 25th was settled on as the date. It was the same date a big pagan holiday and the Christians wanted to steal their thunder. This brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and Santa won’t put you on the naughty list. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

In which year was Christmas first celebrated on December 25th? (and a hint: it is not 1975)

Trivia Time: Holiday Shopping

Posted: December 18, 2011 by Keith Stone in Happy Holidays, shopping, trivia

I’m still working on my holiday shopping. I go to these stores and I end up buying stuff I don’t need. I actually bought a Snuggie for dogs. Certain people are considered “compulsive buyers” due to their shopping addiction. I initially estimated the percentage to be around 50% or approximately the entire female population, but I was wrong. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and win a Snuggie for dogs.

What percentage of consumers are classified as “compulsive shoppers?” (and a hint: it’s not 50%)

Trivia Time: Tyson Chandler

Seemingly out of nowhere, Tyson Chandler is a member of the Knicks. The team had him ranked as their top free agent, but didn’t think it could get him. Luckily, he values winning more over money and he looks good in orange and blue. I was actually at the 2001 NBA Draft, where Tyson was drafted by the Clippers and immediately traded to the Bulls to start his career in Chicago alongside the immortal Eddy Curry. I remember thinking he must be good considering who the Bulls gave up. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and you won’t be amnestied. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

Who did the Bulls trade to acquire Tyson Chandler? (and a hint: it was not Luc Longley)

Trivia Time: Luxury Tax Edition

Posted: December 4, 2011 by Keith Stone in basketball, NBA, trivia

Now that the NBA lockout it over, it’s time for the most fun non-game part of the entire year: free agency! The rules are a bit different. Grantland has a great summary of all the rules. While some teams are way over the cap (I’m looking at you, Lakers), several others are significantly under and have a lot of decisions to make in the next few weeks to determine their future. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and I won’t amnesty your ass. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

Which team currently has the least amount of salary committed towards the 2011-2012 NBA season? (and a hint: it is not the Miami Heat)

Trivia Time: Turkey Edition

Posted: November 22, 2011 by Keith Stone in Thanksgiving, trivia

It took the Pilgrims 66 days to sail on the Mayflower from England to the New World. They intended to go to the area near Manhattan but ended up near Boston. Poor souls. What a lot of people don’t know is that the voyage was originally intended to be made with two ships, but problems with the second one forced the Pilgrims to use only one. Historians now believe that crew members actually sabotaged the second ship so they wouldn’t have to make the trip. Hey, I’d do that too if I had to sail to Boston. That brings us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and I’ll make you a turkey sandwich. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

What was the name of the second ship the Pilgrims intended to take to the New World? (and a hint: it was not the Titanic)

Trivia Time: Daylight Savings Edition

Posted: November 16, 2011 by Keith Stone in time, trivia

It’s getting dark way too early now that daylight savings time is over. We get more sunlight and save energy in the summer. Does it really need to end? I’m far too upset over this. That bring us to our Question of the Week. Get it right and I’ll turn your clocks forward in the Spring. The answer, as always, is after the jump.

What is the only state in the contiguous 48 that does not observe daylight savings time? (and a hint: it is not New Jersey)
